“La Ruche”, supported by the Rexel Foundation, launches call for female-led start-up projects: “Les Ambitieuses”

In 2017, only 8% of entrepreneurs in the new technology sector in France were women. Faced with this fact, La Ruche – a social business incubator sponsored by the Rexel Foundation – is working to break down this barrier with the launch of “Les Ambitieuses” (The Ambitious Ones), a call for female-led start-up projects.

Ambitious female entrepreneurs from the French regions of Ile-de-France, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire have until the 25th of March to sign-up. A shortlist of 18 finalist will be chosen to present their business ideas on the 5th of April, of which 6 will be entered the #TechForGood business accelerator program managed by la Ruche.

This program includes:

  • Full membership of La Ruche
  • Tailor-made support that includes mentoring, workshops, access to a range of experts, and intensive training to help the entrepreneurs make the jump from the business plan stage to fundraising.
  • Online monitoring and access to ‘le Village’, la Ruche’s first digital peer-support community.
  • A start-up booster prize fund of 5 000 Euros for the best project

Numerous partners are associating themselves with #TechForGood on the Rexel Foundation’s side, like Orange, the Inseec group, the Ile-de-France region and the Ruche’s network partners.
